Our Goals

We are a small yet extremely competitive hobby breeder in Fort Valley, Georgia. We are an ASCA Hall of Fame Kennel (#91) and Hall of Fame Excellent Kennel (#27).  Our original goal was to become a Hall of Fame Kennel proving that beauty, brains and instinct can truly be found in one package with a dog that is just as content to lie around the house as he/she is working stock  retrieving a scent article or running an agility course!  To Achieve HOF-X was beyond even my own dreams.  To be able to attain the highest honor that ASCA can bestow on a kennel is simply, beyond words!  Our goal has been and will always remain, to breed a correct Aussie with the conformation, drive and ability to compete in all areas of competition while maintaining the temperament to make an exceptional family dog. Our focus is Conformation, Herding, Agility, Obedience and Rally, A truly versatile Aussie.

All breeding stock is OFA (hips & elbows) and all adults and puppies are cleared by a canine ophthalmologist. We sell our Aussies only to pre-screened approved homes, under contract, fully guaranteed. Companion dogs are sold on a spay/neuter contract.   Show/performance dogs are sold on co-ownership.  We ask a lot of questions and expect and welcome them in return.  We feel that getting an Aussie is adding another family member, not just a "dog".

Our Aussies are registered in both the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) and the American Kennel Club (AKC). We are members of the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA), United States Australian Shepherd Association (USASA), I am the Past President and Treasurer of 'A Southern Tradition Australian Shepherd Association (ASTASA)',  past treasurer of the Northern California Australian Shepherd Club (NCASC) past Vice President and currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Greater Atlanta Australian Shepherd Club (GAASC).  After 31 years in the Air Force I retired to devote my time to my passion of the Aussie!  I am an ASCA approved Judge and spend my time either judging the Aussie or training/trialing/showing our own Aussies.  There are of course also the gardens, Koi pond, the sheep, horse and various other farm chores to keep me entertained if I were to get bored... What better life is there?

We have puppies available occasionally from well-planned breedings. There is more to owning a NiteStar Aussie than just the ability to pay for it. Whether for show, performance or companion, we strive to place the right puppy in the right home to fit your life style, if we don't have something that we feel will fit your needs we will  refer you to other reputable breeders. All our Aussies are raised as house dogs and are a part of our family. When you purchase a NiteStar Aussie, you too, become a member of our extended family and we like to maintain contact with you and are always available to answer any questions or help you in any way possible.
